Meet the Teacher

Mrs. Valerie Wilson-Wilbert

Hello I am Valerie Wilbert this is my third year here with Cleveland School District. My background is diverse which includes education, advocating, community outreach, and corrections. I am a 2003 graduate of Mississippi Delta Community, a 2007 graduate of Mississippi Valley State University.

My direct experience of working in the field of criminal justice includes a former dispatcher for the local sheriff department,served as an administrative support staff within a correctional institution, and my last position in corrections consisted of providing educational service to offenders in a classroom setting. My goal here as Law and Public Safety teacher is to properly prepare students with an interest in law and public safety. To link the students with meaningful resources, and to set the foundation for a lifelong rewarding career. 

I am married to Roger Wilbert for 7 years, together we are raising 2 daughters Demyia 12th grade and Jada 6th grade. My hobbies consist of reading, writing, and spending quality time with family and friends. I am looking forward to working with the community partners, parents, and students as we explore the importance of public safety.
